In fact, what I call the Boot2 partition contains :
- the Boot1.5
- the Boot2
- nLoader

So if you use a Boot2 partition image of the calculator currently running nLoader, you'll have the right Boot1.5 coming with it.

The Boot2 flash combo is

You have to :

• put the calculator in deep sleep mode with a long press on the restart button on the back (~2 secs)
• press and hold the 3 keys
• without releasing any of these keys, turn on the calculator

So, can I use polydump for that? Or should I use nsNandMgr?

For the rest, thank you! I got into the flash mode. I can send the file with the Serial settings I found somewhere here and xModem with extraputty, right?

I'm not sure about polydumper in this case (altered partition table).

Could you kindly provide me the steps to dump the whole boot2?
I'm doing: open BtMg->2 for Boot2-> 1 for Dump and then it only lets me dump the images for boot1.5 and nLdr individually.
Or should I use make_for_emulator from your github?

Ah, yes you're right.

I think nsMandMgr doesn't behave the same way, and will let you get a full image of the Boot2 partition.

Thank you! It worked! But now I get a red screen on bootup. I deleted the OS with nLoader but now I still cant install an older version because of minver. Do you have any idea how I could get a compatible version on there now?

I wasn't sure it would work. I didn't remember if nLoader was ignoring the minver field or not, and apparently it doesn't.

Let's sum up things for this calculator :

• too recent versions get rejected by nLoader with a red screen
• older versions get rejected by the Boot2

I am very sorry, but if this didn't work, then I can currently see no way of bypassing the minver field in your case.

You can put back your TI-Nspire CX to normal by reflashing any clean CX Boot2 image in your Boot2 partition with the same combo :

Might there be a way to flash xControl to Boot2, to reset the minver?

Yes, nLoader is compatible with the Y hardware revision.
